Mac Updates

We've updated the following programs:

Adium to version 1.2.3

R to version 2.6.2

OpenAFS to version 1.4.6

They're being updated as we synchronize our servers, so it may be a couple days before these updates are available in all of our locations.

Virtual Sites at Angell

I have applied the following policies to Angell hall (the floor machines
but not the classroom machines). This will add the Virtual Sites
capabilities to the machines at their next reboot.

Changes to the Environment 2/25/08

All of the following changes were deployed site wide:

* Flashplayer 9.0.115.0 for IE deployed
* Office 2007 default user settings deployed
* Shortcut clean up script deployed for excess folders for Maple &
Sibelius

Mac Updates

We've updated Adobe Acrobat Professional to version 8.1.2 on our Mac loadsets, as well as iTunes to version 7.6.1.

R 2.6.2

I have deployed the sequence for 2.6.2 to the production SoftGrid
server. I will remove 2.5.0 after we and the program's users have
confirmed that it works to our satisfaction at the SPH site.

Mac Update

We have updated Adium to version 1.2.2.

boot.wim update with 755 NIC drivers

I have added the NIC drivers for the new Dell OptiPlex 755's to the boot
image (boot.wim) on Spaceship. This allows for a 755 to be net booted
and pull down out Windows image from the server.

I have NOT updated the drivers in the Windows image itself yet.

Showcase environment changes 02/21/08

* Deployed OpenAFS 1.5.2 to the Showcase environment
* Deployed a script that restarts HQclient service on the North campus RMS
server

We have added the iLife Support 8.2 package to our loadset and updated Microsoft Office 2004 to version 11.4.0.

Environment Changes on 2/19/08

* Deployed a script that fixes an issue with Realplayer videos launching
in Firefox.

Flash Player updated

Flash Player update to 9.0.115.0 has been deployed.

Matlab update

We have deployed a new MatLab sequence that includes SPM. This is an
update to the previous sequence.

scanner change

LRC stations 51 and 52 were moved from the Canon 30 group to the Canon
90 group to accommodate their new scanners.

Mac Updates

We have deployed Security Update 2008-001 to all Macs.

Mac Updates

We have updated Firefox to version 2.0.0.12 and NeoOffice to version 2.2.2 Patch 11.

Admin Desktop Change

I have added a conditional statement to the postflight batch file. If a
PC has the file c:\windows\sites\log\admindesktop.log on it, postflight
skips the PowerShell script that deletes profiles. The Admin Desktop
settings GPO (which runs before postflight) has a script in it that
writes this log file.

Changes to PC Environment 2/6/2008

* Modified the ccs-’07-’08-enounce2xav-software GPO to import additional registry settings during the logon script.

 

The additional entries prevent Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer from invoking the 2xAV audio renderer. The change was made to correct a problem where the Enounce 2xAV for Real Player software caused a crash in the Med School Professional Skill Builder application.
