Sudaan 10 license update

A Sudaan 10 license update will deploy tonight to Virtual Sites Stats
machines. This license update should be good through Dec. 26 of this year.

reload option named "Vista", which is the default option.

AMOS 16 Deployed to Sites Vista PC's

AMOS 16 has been deployed to Sites Vista systems via SoftGrid. The application shortcuts are in Math & Statistics\AMOS 16.

Vista Firewall Exceptions for Remote Administration

A change to the scope for the following Firewall Exception Groups was made to permit the CCS server in the Med Zone to remotely manage Vista lab systems:

 

·         File and Printer Sharing

·         Performance Logs and Alerts

·         Remote Administration

·         Remote Desktop

·         Remote Event Log Management

·         Remote Schedule Tasks Management

·         Remote Service Management

·         Remote Volume Management

·         SoftGrid SFTLIST

·         Windows Firewall Remote Management

·         Windows Management Instrumentation

·         Windows Remote Management

 

These changes were made to the ccs-'08-'09-vista-settings GPO.

A firewall exception for WinSCP was added to the firewall configuration on all Sites Vista lab systems.

VBA Support Added to ArcGIS on Sites Vista PC's

Visual Basic for Applications components were installed on Sites Vista PC’s. The VBA components are required for some features of ArcGIS 9.3. The install of the VBA components was added to the ArcGIS install script in the ccs-’08-’09-ArcGIS-9.3-SP1 GPO.

Broken SimBio Shortcut Fixed

New shortcut settings were deployed to Sites Vista systems that have SimBio Virtual Labs installed. This was to fix an issue with a broken shortcut.

Mac Updates 2009-02-04

We’ve installed the iWork ‘08 Compatibility Update recently released by Apple. This has the following effects:

• Keynote is now at version 4.0.4
• Numbers is now at version 1.0.3.
• Pages is now at version 3.0.3.

We’ve installed two Apple updates: the iDVD 7.0.3 update and the iLife Media Browser Update 2.0

Script to Clean VirusScan Quarantine Directory Deployed

A script to clear out the VirusScan quarantine directory was deployed to all Sites Vista lab systems. The script runs at startup and deletes all files in the quarantine directory that are more than 72 hours old.
